I posted this a long time ago, I have since moved on to Adium, but I guess if you cannot find the link in the applications menu, you may try to type either “mercury” or “mercury-messenger” at a terminal prompt or by bringing up the “run” command with ALT+F2

I want to try out git but don’t have much time lately… Still sticking on svn…

And there is a git plug-in for eclipse that should work for all the platform.

I have to agree with this comment. Sorry for not updating the post accordingly. After a while we do get to realise that the tones are not always right and that the vocab is not always right either.
I have not listened to any episode for about 4 months now for the same reasons you describe: too much english chatter and knowing more about their life than actually doing any cantonese learning at all.

Wishing you the best with Canto, using another method. The best so far: total immersion

I listen to Naked Cantonese too, but I think I’ve outgrown it. Each 10-ish minute episode only contains one or two minutes of real Cantonese, the rest is English chatter and Sarah’s bad attempts at the language. I’ve taken to cutting out the English and keeping the Cantonese but now I hear some of Cecilie’s tones are wrong? *sigh* The struggle for comprehensible input continues.
