Apparently the “low-cost” trend is now extending to a global span. When I was studying in Scotland last year I was a frequent user of companies such as RyanAir, Easyjet and FlyGlobeSpan that fly from and to small airports where the costs are lower for them to land.
This enabled me to usually fly back for around €100 from Edinburgh to Grenoble instead of costing me tripple.
Apparently this trend for cheap flights is extending to Hong Kong as I recently booked through OasisAirline HK for a HKG – LGW plane…
If you check their website you can probably grab a £75 (without taxes) plane single-way.
I was really happy to be able to do it this way as I was lacking a return leg to get to HK for my summer semester, and plane tickets valid for 12months are usually expensive or hard to get. (probably flying back home every 12months in may)
